Helen Phillips Walker

Helen Phillips Walker, 73, of Durham, NC passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015.  She was born February 16, 1942 in Danville, VA to William and Aretta Phillips.

Helen was a loving, caring and compassionate woman.  She was the motherly figure to numerous nieces and nephews.  Helen was an excellent cook and loved to prepare meals for those she cared for.  Helen will be remembered as a wonderful person with a warm heart. She will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, William and Aretta Phillips; brothers, Wesley I. Phillips and Norman “Buck” Phillips and sister, Elsie A. Baxter.

Helen is survived by her brother, Raymond Phillips and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
