Hilda Jean Hardiman

Mrs. Hilda Jean Crabtree Hardiman, 87, born October 17, 1936, in Durham, N.C. to the late Freddie Crabtree and Carlene Potts, also from Durham, passed away on September 4, 2024, at Liberty Commons in Burlington, N.C.

For 14 years, Hilda was employed at General Electric with years following at Durham Drapery and Liggett & Myers. In her early years she enjoyed camping with her family at White Lake and being a beloved mother. She enjoyed reading, had a passion for sewing and took great pleasure working in her amazing flower garden. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Landon Hardiman; a son, Michael Scott Hardiman and her brother, Douglas Newton Crabtree. 

Hilda is survived by her 4 children; sons, Frederick (Fred) Louis Hardiman, Landon Terrell (Terry) Hardiman Sr. (wife, Pam), Marion Keith Hardiman (girlfriend, Cathey); a daughter, Marcia Holden Hardiman; 5 grandchildren, Landon Terrell (TJ) Hardiman Jr., Lee Holden, Jennifer Hardiman, Kyra Holden, and Tristan Hardiman along with 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and her sister, Doris Gooch

 A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home in Durham followed by a private graveside service.
