Hubert Lewis “Ace” Parker

DURHAM Hubert Lewis “Ace” Parker, Jr., age 71, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015. He was a native of Durham. He was predeceased by his father Hubert Lewis Parker, Sr., his mother Edith Eubanks Parker, and a brother Donald Wayne Parker. Mr. Parker was a United States Postal Service clerk for 42 years and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed working, fishing, hiking, walking, and bowling. He loved his grandchildren and volunteered faithfully at the Duke Children’s Classic.

He is survived by a son, Ronnie Parker (Dawn) of Mebane; 2 daughters, Cindy Parker Forehand (Kelly) of Burlington and Cheryl Parker of Hillsborough; a brother, Ray Parker of Danville, VA; and a sister, Jeanette Jeffrey (Weldon) of Atlanta, GA. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Amanda Michelle Rhew, Nicholas Parker, Desi Parker, Christian Parker, and Quinn Parker.

Funeral services will be held at Hudson Chapel Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Jackie Sauls presiding. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Hudson Funeral Home.
