Mr. H. Joseph “Bull” Horton, 63, died peacefully at the Hospice Hock Family Pavilion on Sunday, March 21, 2010. Mr. Horton was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Glen and Elizabeth Winston Horton. He served in the U. S. Army and was employed with Southside Auto Parts in Durham for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Watson Horton. He is survived by three step-children, Tammy Wilkins and husband, Daniel and their son, Zachary; Barry Garrett and wife, Marthie and Laura McKenna; several cousins and many friends and his longtime Canine Companion, Sheba. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hock Family Pavilion for the care of Mr. Horton during his illness and death.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Chatham County.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
