Ira Normon Carrington

DURHAM Mr. Ira Norman Carrington, 73, of Durham, died on Friday, October 23, 2015.
Mr. Carrington was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Ira Harvey Carrington and Lula Belle Glenn Carrington. He was preceded in death by his companion, Maggie Lee Harris and a sister, Dorothy Allene Garrett.
He is survived by his sister, Gladys Carrington Ellis of Durham.
Graveside services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Glenn Family Cemetery, 2739 Joyner Rd, Durham, NC 27704. Rev. Donnie Cash will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Ellis, David Ellis, Eddie Ellis, Mike Wilkins, Tim Wilkins and Donnie Wilkins.
