Iris O’Neill

CREEDMOOR- Mrs. Iris Campbell O’Neill, 77, passed away on August 24, 2021.

Mrs. O’Neill was born July 22, 1944 to the late Leonard and Ruby Campbell. Iris was a huge NASCAR fan and could always be found cheering on Jeff Gordon every Sunday afternoon. She loved fishing just about anywhere, but especially at Kerr Lake. Her favorite bird was a Hummingbird. She made sure to keep the feeder full and kept an eye out for her returning few.

Iris loved dancing. Whether it was in a dance hall or while vacuuming the floor, she was always keeping in rhythm. Iris had a positive outlook on life, loved being a little silly, and enjoyed the company of her dog, Jazzy. She enjoyed cooking good southern homecooked meals, as it always brought the family and good friends together. Iris will be missed by many.

Mrs. O’Neill is survived by her loving husband, James O’Neill; sons, Jeremy Hobby and Marty Garner; daughter, Laura Garner; sister, Patricia Hargrave; and grandchildren; Jordan Garner, Maggie Garner, and Aaron Garner.
