“Jr.“ Isaac Walter Barnett

DURHAM- “Jr” Isaac Walter Barnett, 68, son of the late Isaac and Elsie Barnett, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on December 11, 2016.
“Jr.” was born on April 27, 1948 in Washington, TN. He proudly served in Vietnam for his country in the United State Marine Corps. He worked as an Industrial Mechanic for Sumitomo Electric for over 28 years. “Jr.” loved NASCAR, playing guitar and fishing with is grandchildren and nephews, he also loved camping with family and friends. “Jr.” will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and family man who will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him.
“Jr.” is survived by his wife Becky Trivett Barnett of 43 years, children, Snapper Barnett, Revonda Searls, and Mark Barnett; grandchildren, Zackery Barnett, Alex Searls, Jerimiah Barnett, Austin McCarthy, Chad McCarthy, Isabella Faith, Dillion Freeland, and many other considered; brothers, Allen Barnett and Randy Barnett; sisters, Nancy Corbin, Martha Hill, Temple Street, and Daisy Poore, and many other cousins, family members, and friends.
“Jr.” was preceded in death by parents, his brother, Ed Barnett, his sister, Shirley Sheets, and his grandson Blake Barnett.
Pallbearers will be Zackery Barnett, Alex Searls, Jerimiah Barnett, Charles Irvin, and Matthew Irwin. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Sheets, Kevin Puttman, David Manis, Dennis Sheets, Dr. Brigman, Dr. Hawthorn, P.A. Van Tanner.
A funeral services will be held Thursday December 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hudson Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Randy English. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday December 14, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at other times at Revonda Searls home at 9622 Sawyer Road Rougemont, NC 27572.
