Jack Barrow

November 18, 1932 — April 4, 2015

DURHAM- Jack Barrow, 82, of  Rougemont, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 4, 2015.  He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, and son of the late William W. Barrow and Mary Cooper Barrow. When Jack was 16 years old he began working for the Herald Sun Newspaper, he retired in 1997 as a Printer. Jack also proudly served in the National Guard. He was a long time member of Liberty Baptist Church.  

Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Jo Kretschmar; sisters, Mary  Woods and Elizabeth Myers.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Barrow; daughters, Loretta Barrow Holder (Ray), Lisa Barrow Ferrell (Steve Little), Lu Anne Barrow Bledsoe (Dan),  and Lin Eakes (Angie); son, Rick Eakes (Trish);  brothers, Bill and James Barrow;  grandchildren, Jack Stone (Jennifer), Matthew Ferrell (Christina), Chris Ferrell (Courtney Miller), Danielle Bledsoe Mincey (Lucas),  Sandi  Bledsoe Neighbours (Lee), Nicole Holder Onufer (Mike), Angie Holder  Qureshi (Jami), David Eakes and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 3864 Guess Rd., Durham, NC. Rev. Scott Gray will officiate.  Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable or donations can be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 3864 Guess Rd, Durham, NC 27705. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
