DURHAM Mr. Jack Edward Clements, 79, of 324 Hocutt Road, died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
Mr. Clements was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late William A. Clements and Lillie M. Weaver Clements. He served in the U. S. National Guard Reserve and was a retired paint contractor. He attended Grove Park Chapel. He was a member of the Hurdle Mills Hunting Club.
He is survived by his son, Steve Edward Clements of Jamestown, NC; two daughters, Sheila Clements Skeen of Archdale, NC and Jacqueline Clements and husband, Max Boswell, Jr. of Durham; two sisters, Sarah Drenton of Michigan and Christine Marsh of Florida; two grandchildren, Candice Renee Skeen and Jackson Hunter Boswell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grove Park Chapel, officiated by Pastor Dale Brooks. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Merrick Clements, Randy Clements, Glenn Elliot, Dwight Beverly, Max Boswell and Wayne Mayton. Honorary Pallbearer will be Billy Elliott.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duke HomeCare and Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Suite 101, Durham, NC 27704.
