Jack Nelson McLamb

HILLSBOROUGH- Mr. Jack Nelson McLamb, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Mr. McLamb was born on November 27, 1943 to Valton and Annie McLamb in Johnston County, NC. He was the owner and operator of AutoWorld Service Center. He was a member of Horton Road Freewill Baptist Church, the Gideons International, and Past Master of Masonic Lodge 352. Jack loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed wood working and helping others whenever he could. Jack will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Mr. McLamb was preceded in death by his parents Valton and Annie McLamb; sister, Shirley Allen and Billy Jean McLamb; and great-grandchild, Sophia Whaley.

Mr. McLamb is survived by his wife, Carolyn Louise McLamb; sons, David McLamb (Lisa) of Hillsborough, NC, Donald McLamb (Irene) of Greensboro, NC, Thomas “Sam” McLamb (Missy) of Burlington, NC, Joey Whaley (Cheryl), and Mike Whaley; daughters, Wendy Howerton (Steve) of Durham, NC, and Cyndy Sands (Joe); brothers, Donald McLamb (Barbara), Steve McLamb (Vickie), and Charles McLamb (Priscilla); sisters, Sue Wiles and Paulette Fuller; grandchildren, Johnathan McLamb (Kelly West), Adam McLamb (Lauren), Joshua McLamb (Carrie), Brandon Whaley (Michelle), Grayson Howerton, Rev. Nick McLamb, Maria Nunn (Robert), Mason Smith-Ivey, Gabriel McLamb, Grace McLamb, Jeff Borkhuis, Erin Whaley, and Matthew Whaley (Allison); great-grandchildren, Emma, Haley, Jacob, Savannah, Tyler, Emily, Cole, Maverick, Holden, Carter, Jaxon, and Evan.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Reverend Harry Brown and Reverend Nick McLamb.
