Jacqueline Johnson “Jackie” Hancock

DURHAM Jacqueline Ann Johnson Hancock ( Jackie), 67 of Durham, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013.
Jackie was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. She worked as Office Manager at Hillcrest Convalescent Center in Durham from 1964 to 2003. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Ellis Johnson.
Surviving are her mother, Agatha Hurley Johnson; her husband, Donald Lee Hancock; brother, David Earl Johnson; children, Darryl Lee Hancock (Gail), Kimberly Hancock Oakley (David), and Donald Scott Hancock (Carrie); grandchildren, Emily Anne Hancock, Alan Michael Hancock, Bobby Oakley; two great-grandchildren, Kymberlee Oakley and Hunter Oakley.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. J. B. Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Tony Hurley, Barry Oakley, Tripp Garrett, Mickey Ashley, Ricky Ashley and Mike Byrd.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2015 Medallion Drive.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Leslie Foreman, Dr. Kombiz Kline, the 6th Floor MICU Staff and the staff of Duke Hospice.
