Jacquelyn (Jackie) Crosby Pollard

DURHAM Mrs. Jacquelyn Crosby “Jackie” Pollard, 72, of Durham, died on Thursday, July 05, 2012.Mrs. Pollard was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Clarence Crosby and Nellie Strayhorn Crosby. She retired from IBM Corp. Mrs. Pollard was a member of Angier Avenue Baptist Church. Her life revolved around spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid Duke fan.She is survived by her husband, Charles S. Pollard; one daughter, Patti Dickson and husband, Jim of Durham; one sister, Joyce Chambers of Rougemont and three grandchildren, Kirsten Dickson, Joey Dickson and Carli Dickson.Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jim Baggett. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., before the service, at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
