DURHAM- James Albert “Jimmy” Hall, 83, passed away Friday December 14, 2018.Mr. Hall was born August 21, 1935 to the late Albert “Jack” and Clara Hall in Durham, NC. He was a classic car and NASCAR enthusiast, as well as an avid Carolina fan. Mr. Hall loved his family and their family gatherings. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Hall Briggs.Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Heddie Hall; sons, Robbie Hall (Jamie), Wayne Hall (Madeline), Kenneth Smith (Lisa); daughter, Sharon Hatch (Tommy); sister, Betty Hall Lovitte; grandchildren, Matthew Weaver of New Bern, NC, Breana Hall of Cary, NC, Brooke Hall, Jake Hall, and Jurell Hall, all of Durham, NC.A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on Wednesday December 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Elder Cleo Robertson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Robert Hall, Wayne Hall, Kenneth Smith, Matthew Weaver, Jake Hall, and Jurell Hall.Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions can be made to Durham Primitive Baptist Church, care of Larry Byrd at 715 North 9th Street, Mebane, NC 27302.
