James William McGhee, Jr.

Mr. James William McGhee, Jr., 40, passed away August 13, 2023.

James was born February 22, 1983, in Orange County, NC to James William McGhee, Sr. and the late Lisa Stephens. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Crystal Proctor.

James was the life of the party and enjoyed making people laugh. He loved his family, especially his grandma, “Nannie.” James will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle. He will be dearly missed.

James is survived by his father, James McGhee, Sr. (Ann); brother, Chris McGhee (Maranda); stepsister, Christy Beaumont (Mike); brother-in-law, Chris Proctor; as well as 2 nephews and 7 nieces.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Williams, Tommy Gardner, Dwight Beverly, Mike Beaumont, Chris Campbell, and Linnie Oakley.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2023, at Maplewood Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jimmy Hall.
