DURHAM- James “Russell” Scoggins, 63, of Durham died on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. He was the son of the late Doris Keith Scoggins. He was a member of Prime Timers and was of the Baptist Faith. He was an avid Nascar and Duke Fan, he wrapped hangers and gave them to friends.
He is survived by his father, Monroe Wade Scoggins; brother, Carl Douglas Scoggins of Durham; sister, Julie McFalls (Jeremy) and children, Jansen and Jordan; nieces, Nikki Full (Stephen) and children Kayla and Levi, Ashley Oswald (Greg) and children NaDia and Miah and Kellie Scoggins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be, Jeremy McFalls, Stephen Full, Greg Oswald, Jason Gullie, Robbie Gullie and David Overcash, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Clayton, James and George Woods.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 906 Arvin Rd., Durham.
