James Thomas Ray, Jr.

DURHAM Mr. James Thomas Ray, Jr. 76, of Durham, died on Monday, March 27, 2017.
Mr. Ray was born in Durham, the son of the late James Thomas Ray, Sr. and Henrietta Hatfield Ray. He loved his family, cooking, camping. boating, skiing, fishing and was an avid Duke fan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ray Teston.
He is survived by his daughter Angela Ray; son-in-law, Rick Massey; brothers, Brad (Margaret), Tim (Teresa) and Kenneth (Barbara) Ray; two grandchildren, Cary Shepard, John Massey and one great-grandchild, Gracie Shepard and many nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and at Michelle Hickman’s home following visitation.
