James Troy “Jimmy” Dickerson

HILLSBOROUGH Mr. James Troy “Jimmy” Dickerson, 47, of Hillsborough, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016.
Jimmy was a native of Durham. He had a “big heart” and loved his family, friends and especially his niece and nephews. He collected baseball cards and NASCAR model cars. He was an avid Duke and Dale Earnhardt fan.
He is survived by his mother, Thereasa Bostic Freeman ; father, Jimmy T. Dickerson; brother, Larry C. Dickerson; sister, Jeanne Stroud and husband, Hal; two aunts, Deborah Wadford and Sue Lynam; niece Grace Andrews; nephews, CJ Rigsbee and wife, Stephanie, Wyatt Stroud and Dylan Stroud; one great-nephew, Ayden James Rigsbee and numerous cousins.
A chapel memorial service will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Phil Clark will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of his mother, Thereasa Freeman, 6401 Schley Road in Hillsborough.
