Jan Patrick

Jan Knott Patrick, 52, of Durham, North Carolina, went home to be with her Lord & Savior in the early morning hours on Saturday, December 16, 2023.  She was born May 7, 1971 in Durham, NC to the late John and Judith Knott.

Ms. Patrick worked for over 25 years as a Customer Service Representative for Mutual Wholesale Drugs.  She was a longtime member at Shady Grove Church.  Jan enjoyed traveling with friends, going to the theatre, reading a wide variety of different types of books, especially romance novels.  Most of all she adored her family, always looking forward to being around them.  Jan will be remembered as a loving, selfless, strong and positive woman who will be remembered as a wonderful mom, great sister, cool aunt and a great friend to many.  She will be dearly missed by everyone blessed to have known her.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Merle Knott.

Ms. Patrick is survived by her loving son, Jacob Patrick; brother, Gerald Knott; sister, Jill Rhew (Mike); sister-in-law, Dina Knott; nephews, Justin Rhew, Jonathan Rhew and Josh Knott (Valerie); niece, Allison Long (John); great nephews, Tucker Milligan, Landon Milligan, Camden Geddings, JJ Long and Maverick Knott; great nieces, Kinleigh Long and Sophie Knott; longtime boyfriend, Jamie Walker and lifelong best friend, Sherry Hamilton and other loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Shady Grove Church, 3805 Carpenter Pond Rd., Durham, NC 27703.  Pastor Tim McCreight will officiate.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham, NC.
