DURHAM- Mrs. Janet L. Kulik, 82, of 3007 Pickett Road, passed away peacefully Saturday December 24, 2016 at her home.
Janet was born and raised in New Jersey and has made Durham her home since 1974 after extensive worldly military travel with her husband William “Bill” Kulik, Sr.
Janet Kulik was a loving mother and grandmother who provided a foundation for a household that was filled with love and laughter. Even at the end of her long life, she had her spirit and sense of humor. She enjoyed writing short stories, painting, gardening and doll collecting. She always had a smile on her face and though the last few years of her life were medically challenging, she continued to smile and say “I’m okay.” She indeed was a special lady and touched the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. We will miss you Momma!
She is survived by daughters Sandra Reid (James) of Anderson, SC; Kellie-Jo Watt (Donald) of Durham, also of Durham; Teri Lynne Sennett (Lee); son, William Kulik, Jr. (Deborah) of Graham. She leaves behind four grandsons, two granddaughters, and eleven great grandchildren.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Kulik, Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Wednesday December 28, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
