SERVICE CHANGED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER: Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

RALEIGH Mrs. Jean Lenore Egle Williams, 90, of Raleigh, died on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

Mrs. Williams was born in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of the late Eugene Marshall Egle and Ruth Piper Egle. She retired from the Department of Defense after 30 years. She was a member of Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was an avid Bridge player.

She is survived by three sons, Robert “Bob” Eugene Williams (Dorothy) of Blairsville, Ga., Richard Wilder Williams of San Antonio, Tex., and Patrick Leonard Williams (Lisa) of Chandler, AZ; daughter, Cherry Williams Medlin of Raleigh; brother, Eugene M. Egle of San Antonio, Tex.; sister, Suzan Ivy of San Antonio, Tex; seven grandchildren, Todd Medlin (Andrea), Stephanie Dye Rowells (Cary), Matthew A. Williams (Alicia), Shannon L. Williams, Timothy A. Williams (Sherrie), Brittany J. Williams and Richard W. Williams, Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Jacob Medlin, Hailey Dye, Jack Dye, Ava Williams, Michael Williams and Farrah Williams.

A chapel memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Close friend, Ken Dickson will speak. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m., before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fletcher’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 1919 Fletcher’s Chapel Road, Durham NC 27703.
