Jean Pauline Booth Laird

DURHAM Mrs. Jean Pauline Booth Laird, 85, of Durham, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.Mrs. Laird was a fervent witness for Christ, a devoted military wife, and a loving homemaker. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and the Cornerstone Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Laird.She is survived by three sons, Warren Laird and wife, Christine of Greenville, SC, Jonathan Laird and wife, Trudy of Pensacola, Fla. and Timothy Laird and wife, Linda of Holland, Mich.; one daughter, Dianne McKinney and husband, Wendell of Durham; 11 grandchildren, Jacob Laird, Daisy Laird, Jessica Laird, Juliann Laird, Michael Laird, Derek Laird, Phillip Laird, Nathan McKinney, April Cronce, Shelby McKinney and Benjamin McKinney and 7 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Dr. Rick Finley. Burial will be on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Western Carolina Veteran Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
