Jerry Thomas Morris

DURHAM Mr. Jerry Thomas Morris, 68, of Durham, died on Friday, November 6, 2015.
Mr. Morris was born in Johnston County to the late Carlie and May Louise Stephenson Morris. He was a retired truck driver with Puryear Trucking Company. He was a member of Riverside Independent Baptist Church. He was loved dearly by his family and will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Thomas Morris, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Peedin Morris; two sons, Jeffrey Allen Morris and Steven Wayne Morris both of Durham; sister, Louise Hamilton of Willow Springs; three grandchildren, Zachary Tyler Morris, Jessica Ann Morris and Emily Ann Morris; two nephews, Zachary Vaughan and Matthew Vaughan.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Jones and Rev. Donnie Cash will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kevin Vaughan, Matthew Vaughan, Zach Vaughan, Andy Ashley, Bill Perry and Aaron Perry.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 613 E. Club Blvd. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences may be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
