Jewell Genevieve “Ginny” Dreese

Jewell Genevieve “Ginny” Dreese, 89, formerly of Mifflinburg, most recently residing in Henderson, NC entered into rest on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Carolina Point Health and Rehab, Durham, NC.
She was born on March 13, 1928 in Glen White, WV, a daughter of the late Grover L. and Uversal (Huffman) Taylor. On March 19, 1948, she married Harold M. Dreese, who preceded her in death.
In the late 1950’s she worked at Evangelical Community Hospital in the Dietary Department. From 1972 to 1982, Ginny was an IBM Inspector for the JPM Company in Lewisburg.
She loved traveling and spent her winters in Daytona Beach with her husband after he retired in 1988. They also enjoyed fishing together.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin Scott and Joyce Dresse of Middleburg, Criag D. and Eva Dresse of Henderson, N.C., one daughter, Colleen Dreese Edmisten and companion Brandon Whirley of Durham, NC, seven grandchildren, Michael Dreese, Geoffrey Dreese, Heather Dreese, Clint Tranitz, Julie Dreese, Dan Dresse, Kim Shirk, 9 great grandchildren, Danika, Aliyah, Eric, Luke, Lila, Adalina, Ben, Adam, Abbie, and two sisters, Adalene Boop of Jacksonville, FL, Emogene Boyer of Lewisburg.
There will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday at Adamo’s, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with the Rev. Gary Owens, officiating.Interment along with her husband’s cremains will be Highland Cemetery.
