JoAnna Hunt Emory

Mrs. JoAnna Hunt Emory, age 76, passed away on December 21, 2021.

JoAnna was born April 20, 1945 to the late Robert Lee and Pauline Ashby Osborne. Mrs. Emory was proud to be a part of the Cherokee Native American Indian Tribe. She was full of life, and was often the life of any party or get together. JoAnna enjoyed dancing, board games, and playing with her children and grandchildren.

As a true follower of Jesus Christ, JoAnna dedicated herself to share God’s grace with others. She opened up her home and heart, to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her love and commitment to others will be missed by all.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Emory was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ray Emory; brothers, Bobby Osborne, Frankie Osborne, Billie Osborne, and Donnie Osborne; grandson, Logan Cotton; and great grandson, Tristan Darnell.

Mrs. Emory is survived by her daughters, Lori Hunt Hinson (Jimmy), Rhonda Hunt, Melissa Darnell, and Shelia Emory; sister, Paulette Buchanan; and grandchildren, Ronnie Hunt, Lauren Hobgood (Jason), Dalton Worsham, Timmy and Kyle Darnell; and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Mauldin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
