Jo Anne Champion

DURHAM- Jo Anne Champion of Durham passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016. She was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late James Howard Glasgow and Lottie Betsy Gupton Glasgow. Jo Anne was a former member and pianist and choir director for Bible Baptist Church, 30 year member of Immanuel FWB. She loved the Lord and her family. Jo Anne will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by everyone blessed to have known her. She was preceded in death by her husband John “JE” Champion; son, Eddie Champion; siblings, Howard Glasgow, Charles Glasgow, Sue Ray and Danny Glasgow.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Champion Hall and husband Johnny, Tim Champion and partner Dan Harrell and Amy Champion Perkins and Fiance Jeffrey Ferrell; brother, Wayne Glasgow; grandchildren, Chasity Perkins and Kaleigh Perkins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Jim Turnbough will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
