Joan Marie Barbee

Joan Marie Barbee passed away peacefully November 26, 2023.  She was 81 years old.  Joan was born July 8, 1942, to Woodrow and Mary Lee Williams in Duncan, NC.  She leaves behind her devoted husband of 62 years, Don Barbee, daughters, Sherry Selman, and Tracy Barbee.  Two grandchildren, Daniel Clarke and Allison Steppe and one great grandson, Carson Grady. 

Joan loved her family, friends, neighbors, and God.  She was known for her home cooked meals and bringing friends and family together at the dinner table with her southern cooking.  Joan was very creative and enjoyed painting and making arts and crafts. She enjoyed saltwater fishing, long car rides in the country and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandson.

There will be a Funeral Service in Hudson Funeral Chapel on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.   There will be a visitation one hour prior also at Hudson Funeral Home.
