JoAnn Bates Campbell

DURHAM- JoAnn Bates Campbell, 83, passed away Friday March 17, 2017Ms. Campbell was born September 9, 1933 in Davidson County, NC. She was educated at the Davidson County schools. Ms. Campbell then worked as a secretary at Honeywell Aeronautical and retired after 48 years of service. After retiring from Honeywell, she worked as a hostess at Red Lobster. Ms. Campbell will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.Ms. Campbell is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Esther Bates; sisters, Arlene Shutt and Faynetta Garrett.Ms. Campbell is survived by her son Steve Campbell (Trina); daughter, Sharon Ann Schrantz (Douglas); grandchildren, Corey Campbell and Robert “Cap” Schrantz; nephew, Pete Shutt.Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 25, 2017 at the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery 186 Center Church Road, Welcome, North Carolina 27374.
