JoAnna Jacobs

DURHAM- JoAnna Jacobs of Durham passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016. She was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. JoAnna adored animals of all types. She loved kids and her family. JoAnna was the center piece of the family, high spirited and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Eugene and Minnie R. Moss; paternal grandparents, Isaiah and Juanita Jacobs; maternal grandfather, Oscar T. Pettiford.
JoAnna is survived by her mother Wanda Pettiford and husband Bruce; her father, Michael Jacobs and wife Carolyn; grandmother, Mary Lee Pettiford; siblings, DeMario Bagley, Jessica Branch and husband Kenneth, Eric Pettiford, Lamont Pettiford, Veronica Suitt, Erica Conyers, Anthony Williams and wife Danita, Justine Jacobs, Antonio Jacobs, Jasmine Jacobs; loving boyfriend, William “Josh” Cox; nieces and nephews, Supreme Bagley, Lauren Pettiford, Amyia Pettiford, Cordell Williams, Atiyana Williams, Jordan Jacobs, Kaylai Jacobs, Trayvon Miller and Ja’Zire Lloyd; godchild, Leon Johnson and his mother, Paula Watson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Glenview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 to 2 p.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home.
