JoAnne Turner

Mrs. JoAnne Virginia Satterfield Turner, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on August 25, 2022.

JoAnne was born April 11, 1941, in Durham, NC, to the late Charles Lemuel Satterfield and Irene Moore Kozieracki. She retired from Central Internal Medicine, where she was a Medical Office Administrator for over 10 years. JoAnne was a Godly woman and was very active in church throughout her life. She was a dedicated mother, an advocate for everyone, and very giving of her time and energy. JoAnne enjoyed camping, going to the mountains, and visiting family in Florida. Her family was her everything. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Turner, and grandson, Jeremy Wilson.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her son, Ricky Wilson; daughters, Teresa Dezern, Wanda Wilson, Jamie Turner, Tammy Howerton (Freddie) and Cynthia Zito (Chris); sister, Geneva Brogden; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other loving family members.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Zito, Adam Howerton, Brian Howerton, Travis Ennis, Kyle Ingram, and Preston Ingram.

A visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2022, at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Toby Wall officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Flowers are acceptable.
