John Patrick Brady

DURHAM Mr. John Patrick Brady, 60, of Durham, died on Monday, June 29, 2015.

Mr. Brady was born in Chicago, IL to the late John Elbert Brady and Thelma Narine Baker Brady. He was a 1973 graduate of Vicksburg High School in Michigan where he was Valedictorian. He continued his education and graduated from Michigan State University. He retired from Food Service Management.  He enjoyed cooking, gardening and loved the beach, especially Ocracoke and his dog Saki. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Brady.

He is survived by his special friend, Jeremy Peace; brother, Dennis Dwayne Brady of Inverness, Fla.; sister, Rita Asselin and husband, Terry of Scottsville, Ky; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and several cousins.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor John Paul Brady will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA at the apsofdurham.org.
