Mr. John Robert Jordan, 55, of 3545 Charlie’s Court, died on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
Mr. Jordan was born in Wilson, the son of the late Russell Thomas Jordan and Blanche Garris Jordan. He was employed as a service technician with Freeman Graphics in Greenville, SC. He was a member of Faith Harvest Worship Center. He was an accomplished photographer and artist, loved antiques, fishing, mudding with his truck and was a great cook, carpenter, and mechanic. A man that could fix anything, that loved exploring, gem mining and was very adventurous. He was a very friendly, fun loving and outgoing man, who made people laugh and was always helping a friend in need.
He is survived by his wife of 13 wonderful years, Debra Davis Jordan; one stepson, Nathan Aaron Bigelow of Raleigh; two brothers, Jerry Allen Jordan and wife, Evelyn of Durham and Russell Thomas Jordan, Jr. and wife, Margaret of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Janice Jordan Vieira and husband, Alfred of San Jose, Calif. and Patricia Jordan Flora and husband, John of Durham, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Faith Harvest Worship Center in Wake Forest. Rev Brad Wiggs will officiate. Interment will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, Va. Pallbearers will be Nathan Bigelow, Keith Jordan, Terry Flora, Michael Jordan, Robert Cayton and John Flora. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Jordan and Russell Jordan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Dolores Davis, 404 Asbury Court in Durham and Jerry and Evelyn Jordan, 310 Broach Road in Durham.
Flowers are acceptable, or donations can be made to the Faith Harvest Worship Center, Building Fund, 4737 Willeva Dr, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
