John Talmadge Ferrell, Jr.

RALEIGH- Mr. John “J.T” Talmadge Ferrell, Jr., 73, passed away, Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Duke Regional Hospital.
Mr. Ferrell was born June 16, 1946 to the late John and Willie Ferrell, Jr. in Durham, NC. He retired from Henry Wurst Company. Mr. Ferrell enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was married to the love of his life, Rebecca B. Ferrell for 40 years. Mr. Ferrell will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Ferrell is survived by his wife, Rebecca B. Ferrell of Raleigh, NC; daughters, Sherri Lynn Mooney of Apex, NC, Bobbie Leigh Tutor of Holly Springs, NC, Theresa Ann Thompson of Smithfield, NC; grandchildren, Amanda Dawn Duffield, Robert Shane Switzer, Haley Nicole Cross and Thomas Clayton Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Linkin, Will, Chloe, Piper, Aniyah, Serenity and Lee.
Pallbearers will be Mike Boyce, Gary Duffield, Shane Switzer, Jerome Riggs, Gordon Ferrell and Clayton Kennedy. Honorary Pallbearer will be Larry Wise.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held an hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Wilkie. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
