DURHAM Mr. Joseph Truman Hilton II, 75, of Durham, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
Mr. Hilton was born in High Point, N.C. to the late Joseph Truman Hilton and Virginia Reid Hilton. He was a teacher and coach at Jordan High School from 1965 to 1984 and at Githens Middle School. He was also a Drivers Education Instructor. He owned and operated Grapevine Print and Design in Durham from 1984 to 2000. He loved cowboy movies and telling long stories. Truman loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather who will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched. He was predeceased by his wife, Rannie Pendergrass Hilton.
He is survived by his two sons, Joe Hilton and wife, Tanja and James Hilton and wife, Bobretta; one daughter, Ramona Oakley and husband, Robert; brother, Reid Hilton and wife, Vickie; sister, Elizabeth Sneed and husband, Jim; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and numerous other loving family members and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
