Josephine Grissom Satterwhite

OXFORD Mrs. Josephine Grissom Satterwhite, 92, of Oxford, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017.
Mrs. Satterwhite was born in Granville County, the daughter of the late James Emmitt Grissom and Rosa Cash Grissom. She retired from Murdoch Development Center. She was a member of Stovall Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Satterwhite; daughter, Judith Rose Frazier; eight brothers, James Emmitt, Jr., Samuel, Sterling, Thomas, Robert Lee, Thornton, Arthur and Jack Grissom; sister, Elsie Elliott.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Edwin Satterwhite and wife, Jane of Oxford; grandchildren, Mark Edward Frazier, James “Jimmy” Edwin Satterwhite, Robert Daniel Satterwhite and Janie Frances Satterwhite; great-grandchildren, Jerrit Scott Frazier, Erin Rose Frazier, Camden Edward Frazier and Caleb Zeb Satterwhite.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Stovall Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Maulden will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be James Satterwhite, Robert Satterwhite, Jerrit Frazier, Camden Frazier, Glenn Grissom, Jeffrey Grissom, Timmy Brame, Jimmy Elliott and David Satterwhite.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the services at Stovall Baptist Church and other times at the home.
