Joy Hales Boyette

DURHAM Mrs. Joy Hales Boyette, 72, of Durham, died on Thursday, April 25, 2013Mrs. Boyette was born in Johnston County to the late Rolan Hales and E. J. Creech Hales. She retired after 30 years with IBM Corp. She attended Gorman Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar Boyette.She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Truell and husband, Paul of Durham, Heather Jennings and husband, Barry of Raleigh; one brother, Wallace Hales and wife, Glenda of Wilmington; sister-in-law, Laverne Hales of Goldsboro; brother-in-law, Paul Boyette of Durham and one grandson, Jordan Truell.A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tim Wheeler. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.The family would like to thank Bonnie Mulchi, Lisa Furman, Lee and Terri Mae Green and Dr. Kelli Brooks for their care of Joy during her illness.
