Joyce Tyndall Fowler

DURHAM Mrs. Joyce Tyndall Fowler, 71, of 219 Hester Road, died on Friday, October 03, 2014 at the Elmcroft of Northridge, after a brief struggle with cancer.
Mrs. Fowler was born in Dunn, N.C. to the late James and Lillian Powell Tyndall. She was the retired owner and operator of Joyce’s Tanning Salon. She loved to travel, spend time at the beach, going fishing and gardening. Joyce was always ready to go to new places. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Tyndall Jr. and sister, Lola Sturgis.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wallace B. Fowler; daughter, Ronda Emery and husband, Allen of Raleigh; and three grandchildren, Tyler Emery, Arielle Emery and Amber Emery Remington and husband, Kenny; sister, Shirley Paffel of Durham
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Tim Wheeler will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky Fowler, Shane Fowler, Kelly Hatley, Mike Fowler, Tommy Fletcher and Tony Harris.
