Juanita Ellis Johnson

Mrs. Alice Juanita Ellis Johnson, 93, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on April 1, 2022.

Juanita was born January 13, 1929 in Durham, NC, a daughter of the late John Thomas Ellis, Sr. and Eulalia Marie Vaughan. Mrs. Johnson was a faithful member of Gorman Baptist Church. She worked for Liggett Myers for 37 years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifton Ange; and was also preceded in death by her second husband, Wyatt Young Johnson; daughter, Debbie Scoggins; brothers, Tommy Ellis, Floyd Ellis, and Dewey Ellis; and sisters, Ellen McFarland and Elsie Thomas

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons; Clifton Ange (Patricia) of Reidsville, NC and Michael Ange, Sr. (Sandra) of Durham, NC; daughters, Shyrl Stainback (Preston) of Morganton, NC, Kimberly Fain (Ronald) of Forest, VA, and Dawn Reams (Benji) of Creedmoor, NC; as well as 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Ange, Jr., Justin Fain, Stephen Full, Danny Johnson, Jeffrey Stainback, and Wyatt Womack.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Gorman Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Preston Stainback and Rev. Craig Phelps. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
