Judith Parrott

Judith Riley Parrott, 74, of Apex, N.C. passed away April 29, 2023, at her home.

Ms. Parrott was born August 27, 1948, in Durham, N.C., to the late James Franklin Fuquay and Mary Lois Riley Bridges.

Ms. Parrott was raised by her maternal grandparents, Luke and Shirley Gray. Judith enjoyed working as a Teacher Assistant with Durham County Schools for 10 years. She loved her family very much, including her soulmate, Manny “Lovebug” Alicea. Judith was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, and she enjoyed attending church when she was able. She enjoyed meeting her friends at McDonalds on TenTen Road in Apex. She also had started making various crafts, which she enjoyed doing. Judith will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Judith is survived by her children, Wayne Parrott, Jr. and wife Michelle of Rougemont, N.C., Renee Ferrell of Durham, N.C., David Parrott and wife Lisa of Hillsborough, N.C.; grandchildren, Devin Parrott and wife Robbin, Hunter Parrott, Brittaney Ferrell, Jessica Ferrell, Luke Parrott, Alston Parrott, Chris Carden and Tyler Lassiter; also, fourteen great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Manny's daughters, Norma Slatton and Libby Marquez for their loving care and devotion during Judith's illness.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Reverend Jon Utley.

Flowers are acceptable.
