Judy Ann Oliver Peek

DURHAM- Ms. Judy Ann Oliver Peek, 71, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at Emerson Woods Assisted Living.
Judy was born October 1, 1946 to the late Daniel and Iona Oliver in Durham, NC. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years working in Home Healthcare. Judy was an excellent cook who loved to feed her friends and family. Her friends at Emerson Woods always knew Judy was an unconditional friend with an open ear. Judy loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very caring and compassionate. Judy was loved by as many people as she loved, never turning anyone down who may need help or a friend. She will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her. Judy proudly served her country in the United States Marine Corps.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Michelle Vaughan Griffin (Mark); sons, Steven Vaughan, Jr. (Frances), William R. Vaughan (Tammy Rowland); brothers, Richard Oliver (Christine), Mickey Oliver (Beth); sister, Patricia Gentry (Tommy) and her special friend, Esther Godwin; grandchildren, Christina Marie Snow (Chad Harrell), Mark Carlton Griffin, Jr. (Ashley Mace), Daniel Christopher Griffin (Brittni), Charles David Snow (Randa), Lynzi Vaughan Williams (Mayra), Lesli Vaughan (Jeremiah Vipond), Steven Daniel Vaughan, Alana Nicole Vaughan, Noel Marie Vaughan, Gabrielle Grace Griffin and McKenzie Rowland; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Messer, Allison Averette, Cameron Thorpe, Brayden Elliott, Sydney Harrell and Luke Griffin.
A visitation will be held an hour prior Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Mark Griffin.
