Julian Sidney Mack

DURHAM- Julian Sidney Mack, 73, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Julian was born September 25, 1947 to the late Uly and Frances Mack in Jacksonville, FL. After attending University of Florida and University of Virginia School of Law, Julian began his legal career of fifty years in Miami, FL, where he practiced law as a public defender, a defense attorney in private practice, and a prosecutor of white-collar crimes. After moving to Durham, Julian continued to practice law as a well-respected criminal defense attorney, often representing indigent clients.

Julian is survived by his wife, JoAnn Giordano Mack; daughter, Jennifer Mack Greenfield (Scott) of Atlanta, GA; son, Adam Mack of Durham, NC; son, Tyler Mack (Lillian) of Asheville, NC; sister, Roxana Bossen (Edward) of Durham, NC; and grandchildren, Jake Greenfield, Leah Greenfield, Theodore Mack and Laurence Mack.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2pm at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703.  Family and friends are welcome to attend in person or virtually.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
