Julius Rogers Allen

DURHAM Mr. Julius Rogers Allen, 65, of Durham, died on Thursday, August 11, 2016.
Mr. Allen was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Jesse Robert Allen and Margaret Parrish Allen. Prior to retiring he was employed with Carquest Auto Parts. He attended Living Waters Christian Community. Julius loved hunting, preaching and making people laugh. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Chase Robert Allen and father-in-law, C.J. Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Jane Allen; sons, Kirk Allen and wife, Debra of Stem, Kenneth Allen and wife, Christy of Creedmoor; daughter, Kandice Dodson and husband, Justin of Raleigh; brothers, Linwood Allen (Donna), Ronnie Allen and Ricky Allen (Wanda) all of Durham; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Danny Evans, Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
