Katie Eloise Britt Gibbs

DURHAM- Katie Eloise Britt Gibbs, 94, of Durham passed away on Oct 16, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Charles A. Britt and Bessie Pearl Britt. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard S. Gibbs; daughter, Carol Louise Gibbs Wood; brother, Charles Allen Britt, Jr. She is survived by her son, Charles Leonard Gibbs of Durham; sister, Doris Murray of Durham, seven grandchildren, Tamara Rodebaugh, J.L. Wood, Andy Wood, Hope Jones, Elden Wood, Charlene Hatchew and Courtney Matthews; twenty two great-grandchildren.
She was a Bookkeeper for Gibbs Grading Co. and also a housewife. Eloise was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bishop Ben Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Trey Jones, Hayden Jones, Gareth Wood, Joe Wood Jr, Sam Wood, Dalton Jones, Michael Wood, Aidan Wood.
