Katie Frances Churchill Rogers

Durham- Katie Frances Churchill Rogers, 78, of Morrisville died on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Cecil Churchill and Mary Medlin Churchill. She retired from Liggett Myers, she loved to fish and devoted her life to her family. She attended Cedar Fork Baptist.

She is survived by a lifetime friend Thomas (Tommy) Whitley, two sons, Glenn Rogers of Durham; Ray Rogers (Janice) of Haw River; two daughters, Sharon Rogers Gooch (Tim) of Morrisville; Connie Rogers Gooch (Phillip) of St. Peters, Missouri; one sister, Peggy Churchill Green of Creedmoor; five grandchildren, Derrick Gooch (Ellen), Jennifer Smith (Kelley), Dusty Gooch, Ashley Weatherford (Joshua), Erin Davis (Michael), four great-grandchildren, Caroline Gooch, Katy Gooch, Peytyn Weatherford, Owen Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Walter Jones. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Green, David Churchill, Chris Briggs, Chris Briggs, Jr., Todd Michalina, Cord Michalina.
