Katie JoAnne Howell

DURHAM- Katie JoAnne Howell, 65, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

Ms. Howell was born on October 31, 1955 to C.F. and Blanche Howell in Wilson County, NC. She worked at Durham Exchange Club Industries for several years and then worked at Papa John’s Pizza putting boxes together. Katie loved stuffed animals, especially bears, and enjoyed listening to audio books and Southern Gospel music. She will be remembered as a loving sister, aunt, and friend.

Ms. Howell is survived by her brother, Curtis Howell (Becky) of Durham, NC; niece, Lori Kaliher (Mike); nephew, Matthew Howell (Jean); niece, Pam Jenkins (Darren); several nieces and nephews, and extended family; she is also survived by her friend, Sarah Pickett.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Brian Center for their kindness and care.

A graveside service at Walstonburg Cemetery will be held at a later date.
