Kenneth Carthen

DURHAM-Kenneth (Ken) L. Carthen, 52, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 2, 2011. He attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Ken had many, many friends and was loved by everyone. He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Eubanks Carthen. He is survived by his son, Dale Carthen of Roxboro; his parents J.T. and Betty Carthen of Durham; 5 sisters, Deena O’Neal, Wendy Dixon, Toni Barrett and Diane Langdon all of Durham; Teresa Spence of New Jersey; 1 stepbrother, John Langdon of Virginia; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Rev. Don Chasteen will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home other times at the home of his parents.
