DURHAM Mr. Kenneth Ross Elliott, 80, of Durham, passed on Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Mr. Elliott was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Clifton Thomas Elliott and Vivian Branch Elliott. He retired from Herald-Sun, where he worked in the Distribution Center. Mr. Elliott attended Northgate Chapel. He enjoyed fishing and all sports; his favorite was the Tar Heels.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Clay Elliott; son, Thomas Elliott; two daughters, Teresa Clemons and husband, Michael, Tina Bass and husband, Jimmy; brother, JT Elliott and wife, Shirley; sister, Effie Moore; grandchildren, Michael “Bubba” Clemons and wife, Kelly, April Clemons, Stacey Bass, Julia Bass, Hunter Clemons and Tanner Clemons; two great-grandchildren, Garrett Clemons and Hailey Clemons.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bubba Clemons, Mike Tilley, Michael Clemons and Chris Clark.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable or donations can be made to the St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital at www.Stjude.org. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com
