DURHAM- Mr. Larry Gene Carnell, 71. Of Durham died on Saturday, June 30, 2012. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. He was the son of the late Hubert James Carnell and Elsie Castle Carnell. Mr. Carnell loved classic cars, woodworking, engines, junk-tiques, and was an auctioneer. He was a member of The Shawville Union. He attended Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Lois Albright Carnell, two sons, William Mike Kountis , Brian Wayne Carnell, one daughter, Stephanie Marie Carnell, one brother, H.L. Riley, one sister, Judy Carnell Poole, six grandchildren, Shelby Walters, Justin Carnell, Ryan Beal, Bricen Carnell, Cole Kountis, Zane Kountis.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Dr.Eddie Dollar will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be, Ronnie Allen, Mackie Allen, Bobby Perry, H.L. Riley, Eddie Smith, Russell Crabtree, Robbie Moles. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Lloyd and Skeeter Hughes.The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
