STEM- Mr. Lawrence Emmette Hale, 85, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Hale was born January 30, 1934 in Franklinton, NC. He was a security guard at Athol in Butner where he retired. Mr. Hale was a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. He enjoyed westerns and loved John Wayne. He was a tender-hearted down to earth man who was always willing to help others. “Jug Head” will be remembered as a loving country man who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Hale is preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Hale; daughter, Tracy Ford; daughter-in-law, Shirley Boyd Hale.
Mr. Hale is survived by his daughter, Wanda Hale Hair; son, Foster L. Hale; grandchildren, Bradley Ford, Billy Goss, Jr., Michelle Sharon, Melissa Stovall; great grandchildren, Karina LeShea Howard, Miranda Goss, Piper Goss, Luke Sharon, Rayland Sharon, Taylor Stovall, Kaylie Stovall.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Geneva Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Dr. Robert Oliver. Burial will follow in Geneva Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
