Lecie Jeans Daves

DURHAM Mrs. Lecie Jeans Daves, 83, a former resident of Durham, died on Saturday, August 30, 2014, peacefully at her home.
Mrs. Daves was born in Nashville, NC to the late Nathan P. Jeans and Minnie Bunn Jeans. She lived in Durham most of her life, before moving to Mebane. She was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Daves; sister, Barbara Barnes and son-in-law, Allen Giles.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra D. Giles of Durham and Joyce D. Moss of Mebane; brother, Stafford Jeans and wife, Barbara of Durham; grandchildren, Christie D. Parnell and husband, Rob, Matthew A. Giles and wife, Aimee, Gregory Giles and wife, Jesse; great-grandchildren, Tripp Parnell, Trisha Parnell, Emma Giles and many nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Dr. Terry Farmer will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Prior to the service the family will receive friends at the home, 2567 US Hwy 119 S. #12 in Mebane and after the service at the home of her daughter, Sandra Giles, 2609 Woodmont Drive in Durham.
