Leona Estelle Clayton

DURHAM – Ms. Leona Estelle Clayton, age 85, passed away on December 13, 2021.

Leona was born July 1, 1936 to the late Joseph T. and Bertha Cozart Clayton in Durham, NC.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Clayton was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Clayton.

Ms. Clayton is survived by her close cousin, Bobby Clayton and wife, Christine; Bobby’s daughter, Courtney Clayton and her mother, Judy; and other loving cousins, family members, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Shady Grove Church, at 3805 Carpenter Pond Road. Officiating will be Pastor Tim McCreight. Burial will follow at Clayton Family Cemetery at 1002 Andrew Chapel Road in Durham.
